Foundation for better life who is behind

Incorporating these values into your own life sets a good example, which, when passed along to others, can make a difference in our world. Can my organization partner with The Foundation for a Better Life? We are unable to partner with or promote any other organization, person or product due to the agreements we have with those who donate their images and music to our campaigns.

The best way to 'partner' with us is to incorporate these values into your organization: display posters, play the TV commercials, and be a positive example for others. We do not solicit nor accept monetary contributions of any kind. However, we greatly appreciate the contributions of donated media time and space.

If you are affiliated with a television station, movie theater, radio station, print publication, or outdoor advertising company and are interested in receiving information about participating in an upcoming public service campaign, please contact us.

The Foundation does not give grants or provide any other financial aid. We exist solely to promote positive messages that encourage and inspire a better life. Do you sell posters of your billboards or copies of your TV public service announcements? No, we do not sell any of our materials, nor use any portion of our website for profit. Visitors to our website are welcome to print copies of the billboards for their private use. Many of our public service announcements may be viewed online.

Schools may request posters of billboards in our current inventory and DVDs of our TV commercials by filling out our request form. Media companies who wish to broadcast our TV or radio PSAs can also request broadcast-quality materials by requesting access at www.

Due to our agreements with those who donate their music to our campaigns, we are not able to make downloads available. If you belong to a school, nonprofit or other organization, you may request a copy of our DVD by filling out our request form.

Who is responsible for contributing music to the Foundation PSAs? We are also grateful to each publishing company and record label that has provided music for our messages, without charge.

We could not do what we do without them. Our commercials are often played in movie theatres on lobby screens and ahead of feature films. Why do the Foundation's commercials appear on certain television or radio programs? We do not pay for any advertising or sponsor any program. Because the media space is donated, we are unable to select when or where our messages appear.

Our PSAs are often placed in unsold advertising slots, which means the Foundation does not and cannot target certain messages to specific programs, hosts, broadcasts, time periods, geographic locations, etc. We hope the messages generate positive thought and inspiration, no matter where they catch your eye.

They request no direct action from viewers other than passing on the message. I think people have a desire for positive messages. Anschutz, 63, and his representatives declined to comment, as did Foundation for a Better Life director Gary Dixon. Acquaintances of Anschutz say the 52 traits in the campaign fit his interests in promoting traditional values. Anschutz, who made fortunes in oil, railroads and real estate, has built new empires in sports, movie theaters and telecommunications.

His 17 percent stake in Qwest International and boardroom influence at the struggling phone company have made him a controversial figure, as well as the target of lawsuits. At the time, Qwest was still flying high and had announced its merger with US West, the state phone company.

It could also lead to unintended conclusions by viewers. Anschutz is known as a devout Christian and political conservative. One of his political heroes is William Wilberforce, an evangelical Christian and member of Parliament who, in the early s, challenged the British government to abolish the slave trade.

The Foundation for a Better Life creates public service campaigns to communicate the values that make a difference in our communities. These uplifting messages, utilizing television, movie theaters, billboards, radio and the internet, model the benefits of a life lived by positive values. We believe people are basically good but sometimes just need a reminder. We also believe that the positive values we live by are worth more when we pass them on.

The Foundation for a Better Life has produced award-winning public service television messages, which are designed to uplift viewers with positive values. Each message incorporates popular music to bring the messages to life. The commercials are now seen in over countries around the world. They are also currently aired in Spanish and Portuguese in 20 countries throughout Latin America. We could not do what we do without them. Our commercials are often played in movie theatres on lobby screens and on ahead of feature films.

Thousands of schools around the world also use our motivational materials to communicate positive values to youth. In , we were also able to post electronic versions of our billboards in London, thanks to the support of Clear Channel UK.
