Reviewed by Cathy, 28th August The things we liked - the owner was lovely and available whenever by mobile, in the cottage on arrival there is a nice little starter kit with milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and squash sachets also in the shower room they provide a small shampoo, conditioner and soap set.
Its in a lovely quiet area and a convenient location. However Its really in Read more need of an update and a good clean. There was a musty smell throughout which seemed to be coming from the curtains, mattresss and wardrobes. Our children loved seeing the chickens and guniea pigs and we thoroughly enjoyed walks down to the beautiful lake. Perfect location for our first visit to explore Devon. About 15 to 20 mins to the nearest. Owner very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed that we had access to beach equipment so you don't need to pack your own. Fantastic gardens and space, great for the kids, neither wanted to come home!

The large garden is ideal for children with swings and animals to see. We were not ready to go home at the end of the week! They started the wedding business in to fund nature conservation work and the restoration of the six listed buildings on the farm.
They have been married 36 years and have three adult children, one granddaughter and three grandsons. They both love weddings and the pleasure that the gardens and buildings bring to people. There were plenty of nice little touches such as candles a bottle of prosecco in the fridge plus milk.
It was well equipped with everything you needed. Unfortunately the bed did dip in the middle making it rather uncomfortable we did not get a really comfortable nights sleep at all. Other than that it was was a really pleasant stay.
